WHAT ARE PATTERNS?A pattern is a template of the style you want to make. It is created by a pattern maker and is used as a guide when cutting the fabric for a garment. The pattern is placed on top of the fabric, and the fabric is cut around the template. It is fundamental that all styles have a pattern when making a garment in mass production. At Clothing Manufacturers UK, we have an in-house team of experienced pattern makers who work closely with our clients to create accurate and detailed patterns for their designs. We understand that the pattern is the foundation of any garment, and we take great care to ensure that our patterns are precise and of the highest quality. If you have any questions or concerns about patterns or any other aspect of our manufacturing process, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us. We are always happy to help and answer any questions you may have.

HOW LONG DOES PRODUCTION TAKE?At Clothing Manufacturers UK, we understand that time is of great importance when it comes to the manufacturing process. The length of time it takes for production depends on the quantities of garments that you would like to be made. Typically, it takes about 4-8 weeks for production to be completed. However, this time frame does not include the time needed to source fabrics and trims. We advise that you give yourself ample time to manufacture your garments, as this will ensure that the production process is not rushed, and the quality of the finished garment is not compromised. The more time you give yourself, the better the results will be. If you have any further questions regarding production timelines, please do not hesitate to contact us. Our team is always available to help and provide you with the information you need.

PAYMENTS: Currency – All of our prices are in pounds £. Pattern, toile and samples – Upfront. Grading – upfront CMT production – 60% upfront 40% due by the day the final production is collected from us. Please note that we do not start any work without the payment made first. For example, you would like us to make some patterns for you. The pattern payment must be made prior to us starting the work. Regarding the CMT production payments – the 40% end payment must be paid before the garments leave our building. ALL garments must be checked by the customer before the garments leave our building as NO amendments or changes will be made to the garments once they leave our building. It will depend on our discretion if we will we amend any garments. We do not give any refunds on goods made, so all garments will need to be checked before leaving our premises and paying the end payment. Split Delivery – If we agree to provide a certain quantity of the production before the end of production, then the end payment for those particular units must be paid before you collect/ delivery is arranged. End payment of those specific units must be paid to us. DEVELOPMENT: Patterns, toiles and Samples: When we make our patterns, it is vital that our client provide key ACCURATE measurements to us, prior to us starting the pattern making process, this ensures we will be able to make the patterns as close as we can to what your design is. If we make the patterns for you, we include 1 round of pattern amendments in our pattern cutting fee per style. Any amendments you require after this 1 round is payable. Please note that we do not make any amendments to our toiles, this is because many amendments are not always possible, it complicates the pattern amendment process for us. It is best that new toiles is paid for if our client would like to do another round of toiles or we feel its is important to do another toile round. If we are sending the toiles to you for you to try them on and let us know what fit amendments are required, you must send to us the measurements in centimetres, of the changes you would like made. Photos of the changes are also welcomed. We also require you to send the toiles back to us in order for us to make the pattern amendments as its more straightforward to make the pattern amendments with the toiles present. The toiles can be given back to you when the samples are sent to you. Similarly, it is the same for our samples. We do not do any amendments on the samples we make. If you want changes to the sample, a new sample is required. BULK PRODUCTION: Garment Tolerance: Our customer accepts garment sewing tolerances, of up to 1cm per seam. Due to the fact that clothing are made by humans, there are always going to be small discrepancies when sewing, in most occasions it will be a few millimetres per seam difference which is normal. Threads: During production we will try our best to match the thread colours used in the production. However, this might not be the case for all colours, as we might run out in that particular thread. Please note we will do our best to use the same colour thread throughout the garment production to match the final sample. If it is key that a particular thread colour is necessary, this will need to be provided by the client at the very start of production. Timings: Our production timelines is roughly 4-6 weeks, however if there is a unforeseen circumstance that we are not able to manufacture the styles with in 4-6 weeks, we can add up to 4 weeks to cover our backs. This only occurs in very rare circumstances, for example you might have ordered a very large quantity of clothing so it will take a bit longer. We will always let you know at the start of production, ROUGHLY how long it will take. If you are ordering more than 500 units, there is a chance it could take 4 – 8 weeks for the production to be completed. Again, we can add an extra 4 weeks to this to cover our backs on this. We are not responsible if you have a planned photoshoot or launch date and you are relying on the production being completed by a certain date, so please be aware of our timelines and add this to your critical path and plan around this. FABRICS: We are not responsible if there are any fabric damages/ fault/ stretch differences on the fabric, we order for you. We are purely ordering the fabrics on your behalf and we are not the manufacturers of the fabric so we are not liable. Please note that even the same fabric type (same fabric article) could come out slightly different. For example a 100% cotton jersey in black and pink could have small stretch discrepancies due to the dye batch. This could be because its from a different dye batch (different colours could require different types of dyes) or if the stretch of the fabric is different, it could be because it was woven at a different time. This usually happens if fabrics are from different fabric rolls. Even fabrics that are the same fabric article but different colour fabric, CAN have small discrepancies between each other.
